Hey everyone, just wanted to get a feel on how people handle being single and also trying to actively lose weight and get in shape.
I (31, F) lost some weight a few years ago, got into a relationship and maintained for the most part. Got out of it a few months ago and started losing weight again and focusing on reaching goals I had previously put on the back burner.
I am happily focusing on myself and I’m losing weight at a slow but so far steady pace (only started beginning of December). I’ve lost about 12 lbs (some of it water weight from the beginning). I’m worried about returning to the dating world. I have a long way to go before I reach my goals (maybe 35 more lbs) and I’m worried about balancing the dating world (Dinner! Drinks! More drinks! So many drinks!!) with the dieting world.
A big part of me wants to totally push even trying to date until I reach my goals, but honestly - I did this a lot in my twenties with work goals and I truly feel at this point I need to balance. Does anyone have any tips?? Or struggle with the same internal battles?? Would love to talk to others in the same boat or who have dealt with this before!!
