I feel really silly talking about this anywhere else, but I just got back from a week-long vacation where I wasn't counting calories. I just ate reasonably sensibly most of the time, and kept my splurges to decently sized portions. I was dreading the weigh in this morning, but I'm still sitting at 150lbs, which is exactly where I was before I left! Still have more to go before I reach my goal, but I was worried I'd lose the progress I've made and gain a bunch back. I think the most meaningful thing to me was that I didn't feel like I missed out at all. I still ate everything I wanted to eat, but I didn't go crazy with the portions. I feel like once I hit goal, I'll actually be able to maintain long term.
