(17M) Lost 80lbs in the last year but I’m struggling with the last bit of excess fat

Since may of last year I’ve dropped from ~260 to 183. Height is 6’1”. Most of it was from cardio ever day and cutting out soda and fast food. I also started weightlifting with my friend who’s pretty experienced and lost 22 pounds since then. However, I’m still what you might call “skinny fat.” I don’t know my exact percentage, but I still have a decent amount of belly fat/love handles. I’m thinking of starting a caloric deficit of about 500 calories but I’m not sure if it will work. I also hope to eat enough protein to continue building muscle but I’m confused on all of this. There’s a lot of info online but it’s not very streamlined and can get complicated. I don’t know what foods would be good or how much protein to eat. Any advice would be much appreciated!
