I'm very excited to say my husband and I are starting out strong in our fitness journey. This is the first grocery trip we DIDN'T buy a single dessert. Not even a sugar free ice cream or sf chocolate. We got our chicken, ground turkey, tilapia, canned items, cream cheese, crackers, yogurts (I like low sugar Greek, he gets low sugar regular), multigrain bread, peanut butter, spices, herbal tea, and so many fruits and veggies!
We normally buy frozen veggies and fruits so they don't spoil but this time our cart was full of watermelon, cantaloupe, bananas, tomatoes, onions, green onions, mushrooms, carrots, celery, cilantro, bell peppers, cucumber, romaine lettuce, and more.
I've also kept to my calorie limit for 3 days in a row, even the weekend didn't tempt me! We're still using up the rest of our sf desserts and different chips at home but we're planning to not buy more and focus on whole foods. He's meal prepping delicious lunches and dinners for the week so none of it goes to waste. I feel very excited about our future!
