Is it worth it to workout if it just makes me overeat?

I know that losing weight comes to calories in vs calories out and I’ve been lifting and doing cardio to create more of a deficit and tone up. But I find on the days I workout I feel so much hungrier. It’s much easier for me to restrict my calorie intake when I’m sedentary but I know lifting will increase my RMR with more muscle. So if I’m eating in a surplus when I workout, should I stop working out?

For reference I consider myself skinny fat so I want to lose fat and gain muscle (recomp).
