I'm doing a maintenance break, and it's been key for me to get a LOT of walking in, ideally 90 minutes or more. But my dog gets exhausted in the heat, and 90 minutes can't be carved out of every day in one chunk. I've been trying to pile up walks in work breaks, etc.
But then I tried working on the treadmill. I go at 3.5 mph, and do the part of my job that takes the concentration level of responding to emails, and I can do it at the office gym or the rec center, getting paid and/or reading reddit.
Head a splode. I'm not even tired. It's like I suddenly have an active job!
I'm lucky to have free access to two treadmills, and that I can WFH or office most days, and that part of the job can be done while walking. But think of all the reddit and news and shows my boyfriend doesn't like I can now consume without scrambling to get my walks in! I think this is what they mean by synergy, and if it is not I don't want to know what they mean. Synergy!
