How many people here lost their weight with very little physical activity?

Just curious!

I didn't really work out that much when I lost my weight (kept it off over a decade now!) It was almost all just diet.

Science seems to suggest that its 85% diet, 15% exercise. That's the breakdown ultimately. And you see how there's some people who do all this physical exercise, but just end overeating and staying the same weight about.

Although exercising IS good for you! Don't get me wrong!

But I just remember quite a few days or weeks with just some casual walks, watching movies, etc. As long as I counted my calories and didn't tamper with the numbers in some weird way, the weight would come off every week.

I hate that reality shows have made this weird weight loss "boot camp" thing. Like you see people trying to lose weight, and they're jumping through tires and climbing walls, etc. Just bizarre stuff. And it affects others who don't know better. They think you have to work out until you're about to throw up just lose some weight. I get why the shows do it. Weight loss by diet isn't exciting to watch.

I know some people who try so hard to lose weight. And they'll go hiking for 2 hours, think they burned way more calories than they actually did, and then "treat" themselves to this 800 calorie snack or something.

When in reality, you can straight up just eat right and watch Netflix all day. A mix between is obviously ideal, but I think the people in the latter category have a better chance at success if they're accurately tracking.

(And again, exercise is good for you! Just understand that it's not the top priority at first, for weight loss)

Just curious how many of you just stuck to counting calories, and maybe did the odd walk or so here and there!
