I (F, early 20s] started off slightly overweight and i've lost 15 lbs (my weight is healthy now) and i've got another 15lbs to go just to reach my own goal weight but i've been doing CICO and trying to eat a balanced diet.
one thing that is bothering me is how much i rely on crisps, chocolate, sweets and fizzy drinks to get through the day and it makes me insecure. its really unhealthy not just for my body but for my mind - i stop my day just to go to the shops and buy some even when i'm doing CICO. i would say i comfort eat out of habit and its just so difficult to stop. i also think having a small bar of chocolate / crisps each day even if it fits in with CICO makes this issue worse. i have been dealing it for years and i can't remember a time when i didn't have this issue :(
I work best when I go cold turkey but i was wondering if anybody has overcome their sugar addiction with the foods i listed (crisps, chocolate, sweets and fizzy drinks) not things like fruit etc and if they have any tips. i wish i stopped liking these foods but even in my early 20s they don't seem to go away.
