So I started counting calories 3 weeks ago. I've been doing ok. I started May at 210, and knew I needed to do something. I'm down 12 pounds since then. Great, right? Except that while I do the calorie counting, I feel less and less inclined to keep within my budget. Tonight for example - I knew how many calories I had left in my budget for dinner. And I said to hell with it, and got a Big Mac combo from McD's. I didn't care. I blew through my budget and couldn't care less. My wife and I have ordered in at least 3 times this week. Out of pure laziness on my part. I just didn't feel like measuring, cooking and everything else that comes with counting calories in a home cooked meal.
How do you get over that hurdle? I know I want to keep going. I want to hit my target weight. But damn, I just feel so uninspired right now.
