2,5 years later update

Update from my previous post 2,5 years ago (I was shocked to learn 2,5 years had gone past already).

It started well, with the help of a nutritionist I managed to lose about 7-8kg over a year, which went fairly easy. I decided I could continue on my own without the nutritionist. It actually went quite well, did lose a little bit over the next months untill Covid hit. Staying indoors, work from home and have plenty of food readily available wasn't a great recipe. All the weight came back within 3-4 months and was almost back at my starting weight.

I decided to take restart again during the lockdown. Actually, as all sport schools were closed, there weren't much options. The only choice I had was to take a personal trainer and work with him in his private studio. It is very expensive, but I decided that it was worth it if he could deliver what he promised. I wasn't going on holiday anyway, so I signed up for 2 sessions a week at the studio + 1 workout session on my own at home, it also included help with nutrition.

Actually what surprised me how quickly I got used to excersising 3 times a week, especially considering I was doing absolutely nothing before. The first few months were tough, all the excersises were mostly limited due to physical pains and aches, but over time it did start paying off.

After almost half a year with the personal trainer the weight has come off. Not only that, a lot of fat has been replaced by muscle, that should help in maintaining the weight over time. I had my ups and downs, but the overall tendency weight wise was going well, hopefully hitting my GW end of this year.

Physically I feel the best I ever have over last 15 years. Everything is a bit easier when you have less fat and more muscle. Just simply picking something up from the ground is a no-thinker, while before it was almost a planned activity. However, I am still slightly dissapointed on the body aches, my back still hurts for no reason, I feel still quite stiff despite the excersising. I'm seeing a physical therapist also now in parallel, hopefully fixing also this bit, which should allow me to excersise a bit more freely.

Status now: 39M 184cm SW:130kg CW:113kg GW:99kg
