What are some starter habits for healthy weight loss? Tips, advice?

I'm reading a book called "Tiny Habits" where the author says to track small actions that take 2 mins or less for big lifestyle changes. He says they need to be easy to do but the idea is, you keep doing that habit and build on to it.

I'm interested in losing some weight. What daily habits have lead to your successes? Do you weigh everyday? Eat a veggie with each meal? Drink water before each meal? Setting out your lunch box every night? Drinking green tea each day?

What quick habits, tips have helped you succeed? Please and thank you!
