Hi im 17, 5’9 and currently 160lbs. Im trying to loose weight and retain my muscle mass while i can. A month into my deficit i lost about 5lbs and when i hit 154lbs i hit 160lbs within a day. I been tracking my calories carefully and i been watching my sugar and salt, i lift weight for about 30 mins at the gym and i do around 15mins of cardio at the gym. I currently eat around 1,800 calories a day and im generally very active throughout the day as i work in a fast paced kitchen. I been holding this water weight for about a week and a half and it seems like it keeps increasing. I know its not fat but i want to resolve it. Am i eating too little? am i over exercising? What do i do to get rid of this water? How do i know if im loosing fat!
