Losing weight without counting calories

So, I am trying to lose weight again. Ha. No surprise here. I was at my fittest in 2017-2019 but I gained a lot last year. Finally decided to try to lose it again now. I know, CICO really is what it comes down to when losing weight, and I do believe that. However, in the past, calorie counting make me obsessive and I am more likely to binge because I get so upset if I go over my calorie limit.

It’s only been four days since my journey, and of course probably some if not most of it is water weight, but I lost 0.8 kg already! (I think that’s maybe 2 lbs?). To be honest, I am not that ‘serious’ about it this time in the sense that im not counting my calorie, not making an elaborate work out plan, not forcing myself to eat food I don’t like because it’s healthy. (I know it’s good for you and I genuinely tried to like oats but I can’t lol).

I know it’s too early to say anything, but I really hope I am doing alright with this. Previous me was obsessed with losing weight fast but I don’t mind slow and steady now. I am making slow changed. For example, this week im eliminating milk and soda (I used to drink chocolate milk yesterday haha, I know it probs made me gain weight but I like the taste!). Though I do make a little shake with plain milk and frozen strawberries in the afternoon for a little treat.

Also, I am using the happy scale app! It tracks your weight to know how much you lose on average, so you’d know how much you actually lose with fluctuations, and it shows that gaining weight overnight does not mean that you gain “real” weight overnight. Perhaps some of it, but most of it is probably water weight.

So yeah, not sure why I decided to share to be honest, I am a long-time lurker here but never really post. But if anyone have some advice, or is in the same boat, please feel free to comment!
