Just how much will this jump in activity help me lose weight?

So I'm working on losing weight, so far I've done pretty good, I've lost about 60 in a year but I'm still about 100lbs before I reach my weight goal (I know its a lot, but I'll still actually be a little over recommended weight at that point so I'm not looking to get to a dangerously low weight or anything)

As it stands now I'm fairly sedentary because of my job, but my BF wants to start going out and bing more active, just today we walked about 6mi+ around down town, and we've been going out walking around various places fairly regularly

Should I see a noticeable change in the rate I'm losing weight with this burst of activity? Or will it be a hardly noticeable change?
