Hello everyone, I started the 1200isplenty diet about a month ago and saw tremendous results. For reference, I am a 4'11 female and started my journey at 189 pounds. I was always overweight, but when I started HRT I quickly lost weight because of all the hormones I presume, but I never changed my diet so eventually, it came back but worse. I also started taking a medication that causes weight gain that I am no longer on. I decided enough was enough at almost 190 pounds, stretch marks COVERED my body and even ruined some of the tattoos I have, I was in constant pain, and any physical activity such as walking to the store that is 5 minutes away was considered a chore. I knew what is was like to be skinny, and now I wanted it back, but this time I had to work for it.
I'm not a very active person nor do I eat the best, I try to eat better than I did before. I rarely drink alcohol, and I quit smoking too. Instead of changing my diet completely to be super healthy and clean, I started taking things I already ate but portioned them better, and avoiding things that are just not good to eat at all (I miss zeppoles). Instead of getting 2 ENTIRE Mcdonalds meals meant for 2 people and eating everything to the point where I was literally vomiting because I couldn't physically handle more food, I started eating smaller meals like a 6 piece and small fries with a water or diet coke. At home my go to dinners are usually Smart Ones frozen dinners, cauliflower pizza, and vegetable tikka masala. I drink plenty of green tea and water now, or diet sodas/arizona green tea.
I do sometimes wish I could eat more, but honestly i'm also really happy such small meals actually make me feel full. I'm content sometimes with just a mcdouble and a water as a meal. I do miss when I was 15 and before HRT though, because I was able to eat dominos all day, every day, and play games all day yet somehow stay skinny, but I cant do that anymore and I just need to accept that. Sometimes once or twice a month I might give myself a day to pig out though, i'm already considering increasing my calorie limit to 1500 instead, but if im making progress I don't really wanna ruin it.
Anyways i'm happy to say after doing this diet, in 1 month I lost 21 pounds! I'm really excited to see how much i'll lose by the end of the summer. Making a diet a lifestyle instead of a diet is so much better, and I feel better than I did before.
TLDR: I'm 4'11 female who is 20, and I portioned my food better after eating way more than I was supposed to, and lost 21 pounds!
