This thought popped into my head a few months ago when I saw a plus sized women talking about it. Her point was that people not wanting to be fat is fatphobic. He reasoning is because if they find their self ugly simply because they are fat, then subconsciously they’d find other fat people ugly just because they’re fat too.
At first I ignored it. I have been fat my entire life, so I simply figured there’s no way I’m fat phobic.
Today I realized that I’m not losing weight because of my health, I am losing weight because I simply, don’t want to be fat. I don’t want my belly hanging so low and wide. I don’t want a double chin. I don’t want fat hanging off of my arms.
And this got me thinking, that I’m only losing weight because I hate being fat. Is that fatphobic?
