Am I doing something wrong

This may be long so appreciate if you read it. So I’ve been going to the gym very on and off for maybe 1.5 years I’d always work out for 2-3 months then stop because of school or personal stuff. Now In august of 2020 I stopped working out after 3 months and started eating a lot (I was 92kg) in mid April of 2021 I reached 100kg and I thought it was time for a change. Since then I’ve lost 3 kg and regained my strength. Im not seeing much change on the scale however I can see a big difference in the mirror. Im 18 , 5’9 and eating about 1500-1700 cal per day with 100-120 g of protein. My question is am I doing something wrong due to losing only 3kg? And how can I make sure I’m on the right track

Edit: I’ve been working out 5 times a week (weights) with 20 min of low to mid intensity 4 days a week. And drinking 3 liters of water a day
