I started at ~355lbs in October of 2019. I last weighed myself about a week ago at 203lbs (6'3 Male). I've noticed that my thermoregulation is awful compared to when I was at peak obesity. I plan on trying to lose more weight, to get below 200, and cut to 177.5 just to say that I lost half my body weight, I'll probably settle somewhere in the 190's. It's been such a long journey, and I am always cold. My circulation and heart are excellent, as are all my other internal organs (so far as my bloodwork is concerned). No indications of diabetes or other hormonal problems. I only take vitamin D as a supplement on recommendation of my GP.
I am a Canadian, and the winters are especially rough. Even in summer I often throw on a hoodie and slippers. Does solid thermoregulation ever come back? I see people half my size walking around with t shirts and I can barely remember what it was like to have adequate internal heating. A family member who also lost a lot of weight said she is still waiting for her thermoregulation to return, but it never has. Almost makes me wanna be obese again hahahaha
