When we have to go on some medication, do you change your diet? How do you modify your diet? Confused.

Overdid some exercises and got a clot in the vein on calf. Dr asked to go on blood thinner for 2 weeks. I used to be on a low-carb, high-fat diet with intermittent fasting, eating one meal a day. Now i have to take one pill in the morn and one at night, both after food. So i had to add some carbs into my diet and eat 2 meals, essentially back to normal food with extra fats. After 1 week of this i already gained 6 lbs. I am worried i will lose all my progress now, and what if Dr. wants me to continue the medicine for some more week? What if medicine works better with a normal diet and i am hurting my healing by being on a LCHF diet?

  1. Should i go on a normal diet ?
  2. Will eating carbs on high fat diet cause serious problems like high fat deposits Especially with blood thinning, will it be not so good at moving fat?
  3. What about splitting the existing LCHF diet, split the one meal into 2 and eat it in morning and evening?
