Hey everyone.
I have regained over 100lbs over the course of a year. Partially due to untreated Hashimoto's thyroiditis and getting into bad habits again. My doc told me I basically have no metabolism at this point and I've started a new combo of medication to see if that helps me.
The additional problem is I have chronic, debilitating plantar fasciitis and I've had it for 8 years now. It first started flaring up before I lost weight, and wasn't as bad when I was smaller but still present. Now that I'm big again it's hurting on a new level. I used to work out everyday and now I am barely mobile. I am an idiot for not taking care of the plantar fasciitis sooner though I did try multiple things,I just wasn't as consistent as I should have been.
So I need to lose weight so I can ease the pressure on my feet, but my metabolism is shot until I get the medicine combo right and my foot pain is a 9/10 most days. So I can't do cardio anymore.
I was thinking......while I wait to see if this medication is a good fit, I can at least start improving my diet and try to get back into weight training.
I miss the endorphins from a good weight training session. I miss feeling strong. I have become so weak. I just don't know where to begin......just with the lowest weights as possible? I work out from home and can't afford a personal trainer or gym membership any time soon. I was using the Chalean Xtreme weight training program and want to continue using it.
I'd appreciate any advice.
Tl;Dr - I regained a massive amount of weight and can't do cardio at the moment and haven't weight trained in over a year. How do I get back into it without destroying myself?
