I'm hitting a plateau and I'm getting discouraged. I started this journey in late March by using a calorie tracking app and changing up my eating/exercise schedule. I was losing about 5lb each month and things were looking great.
But I got detailed, I got sick from a kidney infection where I needed antibiotics and rest, so no working out for two weeks. Then I had a week where I was back to normal and doing my morning workouts and sticking to my calorie limit and feeling great. THEN my husband and I found out we're buying a home over Memorial Day weekend so I took the three day weekend to relax and cook/eat/drink whatever I wanted because we were celebrating. The I finally got back to business and now I'm sick with a cold again. Nothing serious, I'm vaccinated for Covid, but either way I don't feel well enough to exercise and I'm working from home until I'm better which means my overall calorie expenditure is low.
Over the last month I've only lost 1lb. I know because of my health issues it's not a bad thing but I'm feeling like I've lost my momentum. It was hard enough to lose 10/11lbs, I'm feeling deflated. Any advice in jumping back into things once I'm over this cold would be appreciated.
