Does anyone know how I can get qsymia for a reduced price now that I am on medicare?
I just turned 26F, I am a student and had to apply for medicare, however, qsymia is not covered by medicare and it is $250. I used to pay $25 for it under my moms insurance, and I cannot afford $250. Nothing was working for weight loss beforehand. I had been attempting to lose weight for almost a year, overexerting my body, and my doctordidn't know what to do so he prescribed qsymia. I lost almost 50 pounds already (240 to 195!) which was over the past 8 months which was amazing because literally, nothing about my diet or routine changed except taking qsymia. It helped me and I am still not at my goal weight which is 175 however I don't know if I will be able to lose weight if I have to give up qsymia.
Has anyone else had this problem, and how were you able to solve it or at least find it cheaper? I don't want to bounce back and I want to reach my goal weight, my doctors are also reluctant to actually investigate why I can't lose weight without it, which is so annoying because if there is an underlying health condition, I would like to know. I know I can maintain it because before I started it I was essentially maintaining the weight I was at. The issue was losing weight and now that I cant afford qsymia, I'm not sure I will ever get to reach my goal weight.
