Background: 41m, 5’8”, 315 lbs., prediabetic (A1C of 5.9) and started Ozempic today at .25mg.
According to my Fitbit my avg daily calories burned over the last 30 days is 3,949. I have 3 young kids and try to walk or do resistance training or yoga 5-6 days a week. The TDEE calculator at Calculator.net has my maintenance calories at 3,382, and 2,382 is my daily caloric intake goal if I want to lose an act of 2 lbs. per week.
My issue is that 2,382 feels like a LOT. I’m currently at 1,710 for today and I’m ready to go to bed and I’m not hungry. What effect is going 1,672 calories under my maintenance calories going to have on me? Should I try to make sure I get to that 2,382, give or take 100-200 calories? Or is it okay to stay put where I’m at?
