Working out twice a day: is it advisable?

I'm sure your first thought to hearing this is: How do you have time for that?! Well, I lost my job a few weeks ago and been job hunting since. I live alone and the free time not job hunting kind of goes into my anxious attachment to dating. I try to fill my time to keep the unhealthy thoughts at bay, so I thought maybe I could also fill my time with extra workouts.

I already use the elliptical and burn about 200 cals a session in the evening. Im considering adding some treadmill in the afternoon after I eat in order to burn off my lunch.

If it helps, I'm 5'2" 188 woman, and I try to eat 1200 a day. I eat a big like 600-800 cal lunch and then a slimfast shake in the evening as dinner, no breakfast.

Is it advisable to do two workouts a day? Only one (elliptical) would be high intensity. The other would be maybe a 30 min 3 mi/hr walk. Let me know what you think! I have a sedentary lifestyle otherwise.
