I'm in my 30s, I just bought clothes from a retail store for the first time in my life

So here it is https://imgur.com/a/LCF3x0L I bought this hoodie from Walmart and i'm getting pretty emotional thinking about it. I know it looks like nothing special, and it really isn't except to me and the fact that I can fit into it now. Because it's the first time in my life i've even been able to go into a retail store and just buy something off the rack. It's a mixture of being plus size my whole life and having a bit of arrested development. When I was in grade school my parents bought all my clothes, and when I was in university and a few years after university I was being extremely frugal to get my university debts paid off so I never spent money on any clothes. I only started buying my own clothes in my early 20s because my weight was going up and i was no longer fitting into my old clothes. I quickly learned that not only did I not fit into the clothes at any retail store, but I wasn't even close. Most of these stores top out at L or XL, and I needed 3XL or 4XL, so I would buy my clothes from Amazon and DLX and other plus size websites.

I remember being at this same Walmart with my sister years ago, and telling her I need a new belt, and her saying ok, lets get one. And me having to explain to her, like no, I don't fit into any clothes here, and her not understanding. And her insisting that we go to the belt section and just try them out. So we did, and sure enough none of them were even close, like the biggest one was off by 10 inches still. Well; after I tried on the hoodie, I also tried on some belts again, and some were too big even on their smallest loop.

My top weight was 409lbs. Here's a post I did 3 months ago when I reached 160lbs lost https://www.reddit.com/r/loseit/comments/nb3f7x/over_160_lbs_down_in_under_a_year/ here's a picture from that post https://i.imgur.com/B2Lo4it.jpg

This morning the scale said 206lbs so I officially passed the 200lbs lost mark.

As i've been losing weight I've just been going back to my older clothes from when I was smaller and I contined to buy clothes online out of habbit.

Fashion has never been important to me, so when I was losing weight this isn't something that even crossed my mind, and I didn't realize how emotional it would be to be able to shop at a "normal" store, and just buy something off the rack. I probably could had done this months ago when I was 40lbs more but it didn't even cross my mind. Like my brain is so conditioned to just think that I can't do things that everyone else can, i'm so conditioned to think that I can't shop places everyone else shops.

I love my new hoodie, it fits like a glove. Thank you all for the motivation and for continuing to support each other.
