My scale pulled a mean prank on me

This morning I weighed myself and it registered 221 which is what I expected. I weighed myself again just to double check and it said 218. I weighed myself 3 more times and it kept saying 218 so I got excited. I even texted my mom about it. Later in the day I weighed myself again (end of day just to get an idea of the fluctuation) and it said 224 then when I did it again it said 222. I thought the second one was right because it was consistent but it kept nagging at me so I got a 14lb weight and put it on the scale. First time it weighed 14lbs. Did it again and it was 12..

Pretty much my scale weighs correctly the first time but 2lbs lower (consistently) after that. I was so disheartened because I legitimately thought I may have lost more weight this week than I did and could believe it was bloating going down but dammit. It hurt. I feel embarrassed that I told my mom the wrong number so excitedly when it was just a lie. Fml

I'm still down from 224 but fuuuuuuck...
