Since the beginning of the year, I have only lost 15lbs. I do pretty good controlling my diet throughout the day and tend to eat relatively healthy. My husband also wants to lose weight and eats okay while at work. When ye gets home, I make dinner. No matter how big the meal (although I try to keep it small, my portions always small and his always larger) he’s hungry after. I have trouble disciplining myself so I’ll snack too. It’s like he can never eat enough and will literally eat up until bed. Sometimes it’ll be fruit, but usually junk.
On his days off he pretty much eats all day and chooses unhealthy foods for lunch. I’m working on my discipline but honestly, it’s so hard to eat right when the person eating around you is devouring everything in sight. I’m not sure what to do here. I try going to another room, I try to offer healthy alternatives but I feel like I have no support. I’m at a loss here. How will he ever lose weight either if he’s constantly snacking?! He’s just maintaining. I’ll gain and lose, gain and lose. It’s such a battle. I don’t know how to help this situation. It feels like I have no support when he’s around.
