It's official... I don't fit on Cedar Point's rollercoasters

I'm female, 19, 5'9", and 290 lbs. Yesterday, I went to Cedar Point for the first time since middle school with my boyfriend and our roommate. The thought of possibly not fitting on the roller coasters honestly didn't even cross my mind. When I got up on the first ride and the attendant told me that the seat wouldn't latch, I can't even begin to describe the utter humiliation, embarrassment, and disappointment I felt in that moment. I got out of the seat and watched my boyfriend and roommate ride the coaster holding back tears. As soon as my boyfriend got off the ride and walked up to me, I immediately burst into tears and fell into his arms. It was a real wake up call for me, as painful as it was. Sidenote, they played "Fat Bottom Girls" and "Brick House" in the park after that ordeal🤦🏼‍♀️ If you don't have enough room for the fat bottom girls on your coasters then you don't have the right to play our song 😤

Funny enough, I was looking into my options for bariatric surgery with my insurance company only a day earlier and I'm beginning the process of qualifying for surgery (something I have done in the past with a different insurance company but didn't qualify due to a lack of qualifying co-morbidities). I guess I'm just looking to hear from some people who can relate to the feeling I had yesterday and also to hear from people who have experienced the bariatric surgery journey. Thanks for listening if you got this far🥺
