So prior to Covid, I was always around 255. I lost weight right before the lockdown and got down to 222. Life happened, we had a baby and focus just shifted. Before I knew it I was 270. I could barely tie my shoes and often would just find myself exhausted from doing nothing. I decided to get back on track and started walking daily.
What started out as a 3 mile walk has progressed into a 7 mile nightly adventure. I put the kids to bed, complete house chores and head out around 9pm for a two hour walk. (Thanks to the wife for holding down the fort) I have become addicted to military/zombie thriller audiobooks and nighttime walks set the mood perfectly.
I have been drinking Bulletproof Coffee for breakfast. Having a light lunch and sensible dinner. I only drink sparkling waters from Sams Club. For awhile I was doing Hello Fresh for dinner, for not being a cook at all, this really personally help me learn to cook. While expensive, it helped get me on the right track of making healthier meals.
One of the “somethings gotta change” moments is when I went to Dicks Sporting Goods and realized I couldn’t fit into anything there. Over the last four months I have gone from snugly fitting into an Under Armor XL, to a L and now actually fitting into a M comfortably.
Today I finally made it back under 200, which I haven’t seen since I was like 22, I’m 42. Hoping I can maintain staying active and being conscious of healthier choices. But today, I celebrate!
