5'4 SW: 186 CW: 174.6 GW: ~130 It's been about 6 weeks since I started CICO and 3 ish weeks since I started adding 5 minute pockets of exercise throughout my day. Here are some things I've noticed!

I definitely can't eat as much as I used to. There have been days where I'm just so busy that I have about 800 calories left in my budget and it's almost bedtime, and I'll try to eat that much and just.. Can't! It's really weird considering I was easily eating 800+ kcal meals before. On these days, I treat myself to my fun foods (ice cream, chocolate, baked goods, etc) so that I can hit my calorie limit without stuffing myself sick and it's been working well for me so far.

On these days where I have something sweet before bed, I don't feel so hungry when I wake up in the morning. On days where I do hit near my calorie budget, I make sure the last thing I eat before bed is some fruit and it achieves the same results!

I haven't had soda or juice since I started my CICO journey. I went on vacation this past week and got a small frozen piña colada as a treat. Before, I would have ordered a medium and sucked it down as fast as possible. I took a couple sips and the sugar made my teeth feel like they were falling out of my mouth. I drank about half of it over the course of 90 minutes and felt sick to my stomach for hours, and then I felt like shit for the rest of the day. AND THEN I WAS CRAVING SUGAR FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS. Never again. I don't even want to chance soda anymore. I'll stick to water, please and thank you!

I'm discovering so many new foods that I like now! For example, EGGPLANT. Love it. If there is a dish with eggplant in it, you bet I'm trying it. Also salted baked potatoes? I used to need like, half a stick of butter before a baked potato would taste good to me, but I just tried half of one plain with some salt and 🤯🤯🤯 I just picked it up and ate it, skin and all. It's basically a giant wedge French fry without the fry part lol definitely adding it to my food options!
Can't wait to see what the next 5 pounds brings~
