I hope this is not against the rules. All my life I've either gained or lost weight, and now I'm just trying to maintain it and maybe recomp. I'm 5'9 (175cm) and about 190 lbs (87 kg) , and I move around everyday for at least an hour, be it to hit the weights at the gym (newbie), walk, going on my bike, or roller skating (practicing jumps right now!), somedays all of the above.
I've been tracking my calories for the past 2/3months, averaging about 2000/2100 calories a day. All calculators say my tdee is at least 2000, were I to be sedentary. I'd call myself lightly active, which would put my tdee at 2200/2300. I liked this cause it meant I could easily lose some weight on the long long run, since eating in that small of a deficit was more than enough for me. Yet, after all this time, my weight is still about the same, and I feel like I look both bulkier and chubbier.
My weight is better distributed, but has been shooting a bit higher a bit too often (I don't have a scale at home, I use the one at the gym when I go, not ideal but enough to give me a roundabout idea of where I'm at), which makes me fear I'm gaining. I can't really use measurements cause I'm basically always bloated (another issue I'm working on), but when I'm not my jeans fit pretty much the same.
I can't figure this out, could I be overestimating my tdee?
