I'll give a quick run-down.
I'm a guy, 15, 135 pounds & 5'11. This doesn't sound terrible (Atleast, I don't think it should, I might be wrong) but with how my body is composed, it totally is. I'm almost 99% sure most of my weight could be attributed to body fat. Most of it is around my stomach. My thighs are ENORMOUS.
I SEEM to have a lean figure with a t-shirt on, but if you got the shortest glance at me with a shirt off you'd probably frown at how horrid it is. I might be exaggerating slightly, but the reality is that there is a large amount of fat there that needs to GO.
Please do not blame my parents for this, it's mainly my fault for my lack of initiative. I've eaten nothing but junk/fast food for the last 14 years. I didn't eat any fruits or vegetables, because I would vomit them up due to the texture/taste & simply refuse to try again. I've tried a tiny amount of food (mostly easy stuff such as chicken tenders, yeah go ahead and laugh)
Just this year, I opted on trying to eat "healthier." I've began exercising. Some moderate weight lifting just with my arms, & cardio on my VR headset or biking around the neighborhood.
I've made progress. I was 142 at the beginning, now I'm down to 135. I regularly dip down to 132 sometimes, aswell. My lowest weight was 130, but I'd refrain from counting that since I hadn't eaten at all the day before.
Anyway, my main goal now is to rid myself of all the fat loitering around my midsection. I still have issues with overeating junk food. I eat fast food everyday still. To be fair, I'm regulating the calories I ingest & I still ensure that I burn 250-350 calories in my cardio workout, but I want to fix my eating.
What can I ask my parents to cook that's healthy and would be easy for me to get used to, texture & taste wise? It would seriously help me. I do 16:8 fasting (12 pm - 8 pm) so any conforming to that would also be appreciated. Sorry if this was difficult to read, school makes me super tired after I arrive home these days.
Exercises to increase muscle mass around my stomach & abs would also help, as the cardio workout I do (shadow boxing in VR) targets the core & arms but is my only dependable way to exercise.
