I’ve been trying to get back to drinking enough water recently and have been on about 2.5 litres a day. Last week I was making a lot of trips to the bathroom, as expected, and lost 1.5lbs (which is a lot for me in one week). But this week, even though I’m drinking and eating the same (1400 cals per day, logged on Lose It app, no excessive salt or carbs), the bathroom trips have greatly reduced and I’m not losing anything, in fact I appear to have gained weight. It feels like the water is just staying inside my body? I don’t feel bloated or anything, but I don’t know where all the water’s going!
Is this normal once you’re properly hydrated? It’s not period related as far as I know. Just a bit confused and disappointed with the scale number - I know the number’s not everything and I’m doing everything right, but still a bit of a kick in the teeth!
