What is the cause of my weight-loss fluctuations?

Just a quick newbie question.

I've been successfully losing weight for a while now but I've noticed a weird trend that I'm just curious about.

I weigh myself at the same time every morning, after using the bathroom and before eating. I also drink the exact same number of ounces of water every day, and usually consume just about the same number of calories.

However, I will have 2-3 days where my weight will only go down by .1 or .2 pounds, sometimes even going up by that much, only to have every several days my weight go down drastically, like .7 - 1.5 pounds.

Is there a reason for this? I am by no means very educated on the body and the process of losing weight/fat, so I was just wondering if this is normal or?

For context my BMI is Obese category III, so I do have a lot of weight to shed.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance!
