How slow is too slow?

I'm a 27f CW:143lb (65kg) GW: 121lb (55kg)

At my current deficit i should be losing half a pound a week meaning it should take a year to reach my goal.

Given that I'm already on the smaller side (I hover around 24/25 on the bmi) am I being sensible in giving myself so long or am I being overly cautious?

My concerns are:

  1. I lost 11lb at the end of last year and put it back on and then some - I don't want this to happen again

  2. Taking a whole year to lose the weight increases the chances of life variables throwing me off course

  3. Losing weight more quickly would require me to drop down to a daily intake of 1400, which is doable but makes me grouchy and headachy and no fun to be around

Basically looking for confirmation that it's OK to go slow :/
