Hey there! I'm pretty new to the sub but figured it a good place to get some advice. So I (18M, 315lb) have struggled with morbid obesity my whole life. Obesity does happen to run in the family and, even better, I have diabetes. I joined football back in 2016 I think weighing somewhere between 310-330. This was after being diagnosed with diabetes, so the new meds and 12+ hours of training per week helped me drop down to 250 in just months. Since then, I've gotten a concussion that keeps me off of most sports. My medicine doesn't work anymore and I've done every diet (they work for a couple months and then nothing). I tried fasting and same thing. I've also been diagnosed with depression so motivation is difficult but the body dismorphia plays a big part. I want to get back into shape and even lose some more. I just want to lose fat though so I feel better about my appearance. Any advice or ideas? I could really use it. Thanks for reading :)
