I(21F, 5'8, 265 pounds) am being forced to come to grips with my weight

I was always a heavy kid. We didn't eat the best types of foods in my family, but, whereas my parents and my brother balanced out the unhealthy eating by becoming workout warriors, I never did ate of that, just ate and sat. College has/is when things really took off and I guess when you could say things began getting very out of control. I've tried dieting in the past, but, gave up easily, haven't dieting in years. Now I'm at a point, like a tipping point and I want to turn things around, but, fear I'll fail again and again and will always be stuck in that cycle. Something I don't want.

How do I overcome this fear?
