For background, I’m 20F, 163cm and until recently have weighed around 49.5kg. For the last 6 months or so I’ve mainly been doing low intensity exercise, lots of Pilates and yoga, and my weight fluctuated between 48.5 and 49.5, with the lower end being my desired weight.
Then a month ago I returned to my home country (very hot so I’m drinking loads of water), and a bit over a week ago got out of quarantine and came home. I weighed in at 49.6 last Saturday, and since then I’ve been doing Heather Robertson’s HIIT workouts on YouTube (35-45 mins long) almost every single day - only skipped on Monday but still did low intensity stuff. And I’ve steadily gained since then, weighing in at 50.5+ kg every. single. day. I feel sooo bloated, my tummy which is usually pretty flat w defined abs, is puffy, my thighs are puffy, arms - my leanest part - are also puffy. My clothes even feel tighter. And yes, I’ve considered diet - but I’m eating healthy, tracking on MFP, and staying in a slight deficit (~1300-1400) - would think it’s a better diet than what I had in my 2-week quarantine, where I ate salty and fatty food and managed to maintain my weight.
TLDR: Started doing HIIT for a week after a long hiatus, gained 1kg, and feel extremely bloated to the point of clothes being too tight :(((
Any advice on getting rid of the swelling and bloating as well as the extra weight would be greatly appreciated!! i just wanna feel normal in my clothes again and reap the fat-burning benefits of working out :(
