Just Getting Started!

Hello! I found this subreddit about a week ago and I have completely fallen in love with it! The posts are so inspiring and everyone is losing weight in a healthy manner. I have very slowly gotten the ball rolling as far as lifestyle adjustments.

Back in December I joined Planet Fitness and I went about twice a week until the holidays rolled around and I couldnt go very often. Around the same time, I realized that I need to be having a more fulfilling breakfast as I have to stay satiated for about five hours at work. I began making smoothies which consist of strawberries, blueberries, one banana, a scoop of yogurt, flaxseed, and spinach. This was perfect as it keeps me full!

Since finding this subreddit I think I am ready to fully commit to a new lifestyle. I have tried so many different times and it’s super discouraging to feel beaten down so often. I think with this mindset and the indirect support of this group, it is doable!!

My starting weight was 243, my current weight is 238 (i think it’s water weight but I’ll take it), I am a 23 year old female, and my goal is to be under 200. (ETA: i am 5’8”) I will revise my goal as I get closer, but I feel like that’s realistic for now. I currently go to the gym about four days a week and do the incline treadmill walking for 25-30 minutes. It’s not much but it’s a start!

I began logging with My Fitness Pal and it has been eye opening to see what my calories should be and how many calories are in certain foods! Thankfully, for my breakfast and lunch tomorrow, the most calories I have are in my yogurt!

I can’t wait to update in a few weeks!
