Hello guys, Sorry for the long post. TLDR at the end.
A year ago, I was quite healthy, eating normally and exercising at the gym very regularly. Back then, it had been a year that I was on a journey to a better lifestyle, and I was extremely proud of myself. I completed my first (and only) 10k run in 1 hour, I became my own “body goal” and I never felt so good, even as a teenager.
Then you know the story: Covid hit, gyms closed, I tried to exercise at home but it just wasn’t for me. I started running outside and it was okay, but I eventually injured myself twice (ankle and knee).
In between injuries, gyms opened back up for a while, but they locked us down again and they never opened again to this day in my country.
So I gave up. I did. I went back to my old nasty ways of binging on cookies and a bunch of other stuff. I started ordering food online again, several times a day (every meal + snacks so that’s 4-6 times), and school was held online so I follow classes from my bed.
Today I don’t weigh myself anymore because what’s the point? Last time I checked, for the first time in my life, I reached obesity.
I miss the strength I used to feel last year. Today was Day 1 again, and I journaled my strategy to get back on track. I really want to get there again.
I guess I just wanted to share my story and maybe meet people who went through the same experience.
TLDR: I was healthy a year ago. Gyms closed. Ordered food everyday and now I’m obese and I want to change.
