I've been out of work since 3/25, as a sous chef I've pretty much worshipped food the past 12 years but treated it with an attitude of 'I'm on my feet 10 hours a day running around I can do what I want".
That attitude got me up to a solid 325lbs.
At the start of the pandemic I ended up buying enough meat for a couple of weeks, butchering it and vacuum sealing it, actually planning out my families meals. Today is Day 25 and I've only been to the store 2-3 times. Making a lot more stuff at the house instead of eating constantly is making it a lot easier to account for everything. Signed up for my local farm bag and just eating like I feed my customers instead of the frozen pizza at the end of shift or taco bell on the way home.
As a result I'm down 8lbs. Here's hoping that momentum can keep going.
Lowest I've been in the last decade was 260 when I flirted with keto and started lifting weights. That's probably going to be my overall target in the next year!
Hope y'all are hanging in there!
