Metabolism slowed?

I have only lost 1 pound over the last 2 weeks, despite daily exercise and a serious caloric deficit. In fact, I believe the aforementioned caloric deficit has slowed my metabolism down significantly. According to MFP, I am eating an average of 1,144 calories net per day. This includes the calories lost through cardio on the treadmill, but doesn't include the 2-4 mile walk I take my dog on each day, meaning my average net calories consumed per day is likely less than 1,000. As a 6 ft male weighing in at 225 lbs, this is definitely not enough.

So, do i need to eat more each day or exercise less, or both? I've been following an 6/18 intermittent fasting schedule and find it difficult to consume enough calories in my eating period.

Any advice is appreciated. I'm honestly pretty frustrated at this point because I've been working hard but haven't seen any results as of late.
