Lets settle it once and for all, does the rate of weightloss matter when it comes to loose skin

So basically, after delving into the "loose skin" aspect of weightloss I realize that the rate of weightloss is debated, is losing slowly better? Does it matter if you lose weight quickly? I have many questions about this, I lose 4lbs/week simply by changing my diet and going to the gym, and I want to avoid loose skin at all costs.

Skin tightens up overtime and adapts to our figure, but if weightloss is too quick could that make it so that the skin doesn't catch up? and therefore quicker weightloss causes loose skin, If you were to lose 100lbs in 4 years, would it look the same as if you were to loose 100lbs in 6months, and then wait 3.5 years?

Does the rate of weightloss truly matter? If I were to lose 1lbs/week, would that be better to avoid loose skin?

Anyone with any experience about this? Any replies are helpful!
