Has anyone else kept weight off for a good while but still feel hungry all the time?

So about 2 years ago I got told I was pre-diabetic and since then I turned my lifestyle around since about half of my family are diabetic and it runs in the genes. I started exercising regularly and restricting myself to 2000 calories a day and 2500 on workout days. After a year of this I got to my goal weight and got the all clear from my doctor saying I was no longer pre-diabetic. I've maintained my calories since then and I've kept off the weight but if I'm being honest I'm completely miserable. I'm hungry all the time still, I thought this would go away once I lost the weight but it's still there.

For the last 2 years I've dealt with constant hunger every day and lately I've just started to think to myself what's the point. I'm much healthier now and I feel a lot better than I did with the weight but it's so hard dealing with this constant hunger day in and day out.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, how did you get the hunger to stop?
