Where to start?

I’ve been telling myself for quite a while now that I wanna lose weight. That’s the problem though, I only tell myself and then do nothing. How did you convince yourself to finally get off of your a** and just do something about your weight? I have reasons I want to be thinner but by the time I get home I convince myself I’m too busy. I have homework or I’m tired from waking up early for work or maybe I just didn’t sleep well the night before. I really need to step up and stop messing around. Please give me some advice. Also If you know good places to find healthy recipes link those for me as well please and thank you!
