My fitness journey!

Day 1:

I'm going to update on this little post I created every day to help keep myself on track and in-check.

Feel free to encourage, give tips, advice, critiques, share, etc. Don't have something good or constructive to say go away!

I'm 45, 5'9 240lbs. On and off working out. Lift weights pretty heavy, but keep falling off. So I start toning, stop working out, turn fat, working out on-again, stop, rinse, and repeat. Same with eating...eat pretty decent for a bit, then fall off and pig out for a while.

Today took my will power back. Since I can't lift weights in the foreseeable future, I shouldn't be carrying this much weight around. Not to mention I have High BP/hypertension, likely pre-diabetes, and high cholesterol. I want to drop down to 200, so about 40lbs. And lose the aforementioned silent killers, and hopefully, live at least another 30 years.

I weighed in at 240lb this morning. I made a bone broth soup last night. Ingredients:

Approx. 2 1/4 lbs. Beef Neckbones
2 large carrots
3/4 large sweet onion
2 celery stalks
1/2 tbl spoon Himalayan Pink Salt
1 tsp Cayenne
3 Radishes

What I ate/drank today:
1. 18oz. Water w/tbl spoon of Country Farms ACV w/ginger, cayenne, maple
2. 2 C Folgers Coffee w/couple shakes of organic Cinnamon, 1tbl spoon of Vanilla flav. creamer
3. Supps - 2 fish oil, 2 vit D, 1 multi, 1 vit B
4. 1 C org. Rolled Oats, 1tbl spoon Flaxseed, 4oz frozen Peaches & Mango
5. 24oz Bone Broth soup (broth only), to sip through the day (started about 1pm)...ended up drinking it all in a couple hours
6. 4 C of coffee. only added 1tbl spoon of plain Almond Milk
7. 18oz Water w/scoop of Bountiful Beets from Country Farms
8. 6:30pm - finished all the bone broth, including little pieces of meat that came off the bones, not much maybe a few oz worth. And all the vegetables and broth.
9. 9:30pm - Homemade pickled veggies: 2 radishes, 2 green beans, 1/2 jalapeno
10. 24oz Water plain

About 8pm I did 2 workouts from this Home Workout app, about 25 min altogether. I have been trying to walk at least 3 1/2 miles every day. The weather is horrible, so didn't today.

11pm bedtime.

Thanks any and every one and wish me luck!
