hi! i also posted this on xxketo but i thought i might try to get some more varied, non-keto centered advice here as well.
to start, here's my stats and some background information:
F / 21 / 5'5" / SW: 275 / CW: 269
I do 16:8 IF and I eat 1200-1300 calories a day (I measure my food out) and stick to a strict 30g of net carbs a day (I know most recommend 20, but I am 99% sure I'm still in ketosis at 30g), most of it being vegetables like broccoli and spinach.
i do not exercise aside from light walking and doing chores around my home
i've done keto in the past to great success (lost 70 lbs in 5 months 2 years ago, but gained 40 lbs back because of an eating disorder resurfacing)
current issue:
so, i've been following keto again for about a month and a half now. during my first two weeks I lost 6 lbs, which I was happy about at first, but now I feel like I'm stuck in a semi-plateau? I've been losing inches (my clothes are 100% getting looser by the day), but the scale has not budged from 269 at all! It's been extremely discouraging based on how much work I've been putting into teaching myself restraint and recovering from binge eating disorder.
I know that it's not just weight being reallocated into muscle mass because as I said, I'm relatively sedentary aside from very light 30 minute walks and chores
i've tried recalculating my macros on so many different calculators and I am eating at well below a 30% deficit according to most of them with 1200-1300 calories a day. i'm just so unsure of what else I could be doing. even if I'm not in ketosis, shouldn't the basis of CICO be working at the very least? i mean, i guess it is if I'm losing inches, but i just don't get why the scale won't change too!
I'm so sorry for how disjointed this post probably is, if more information is needed please ask!
