Is it harder to lose weight if you have a big ribcage/torso and are also short (5'2)?

This might seem like a weird question, but I've always struggled to lose weight. Even when I was eating well and exercising, I didn't see any results, even about 8 months in.

I started wondering if I wasn't accommodating for my body shape and size. Is there something specific I should be keeping in mind for someone in my situation? I only wanted to lose 10-15 lbs but I'm really struggling and clueless on how to approach fitness for someone like me.

I wondered this because I noticed, even at my smallest (110 lbs), I still looked big, because of my big torso/ribcage. Would I be able to lose any more weight than 110 lbs in a healthy manner and look a little more proportional?

I'm a real beginner at this so I think I'm putting work into it, but was being kind of aimless with my direction so it doesn't seem like I'm making progress. I'm currently 125 lbs, and I'd like to go back to 110, if possible.
