I hate vegetables... how can I incorporate them more into my diet?

Hey! I've been a shadow in this subreddit for a while now. I really enjoy the realistic and super helpful advice!

I'm a grownup, but I've never passed that kid phase where I push veg to the side. My mom tried her best but i just couldn't do it. To this day, vegetables' smell and taste make me gag. Even the smallest ones like the little onions in canned spaghetti sauce...I can weed it out as I eat. Sometimes I'll force myself to eat something like a side salad and I have to plug my nose to get through it.

It's so embarrassing to tell people and for myself. I really want and NEED to get past it. To incorporate it now I'll boil and mash carrots and spinach if I've made something saucy like chili but it's not sustainable. I do like beans though so that's something I guess/ hope.

Has anyone gone through this? Please help. How do I develop a healthy relationship with vegetables?
