Hi, I'm new to reddit and new to fitness, so sorry for any errors. My whole life I haven't been conscious of what I eat or calories, or how much I exercise. I always felt healthy so that was enough. Last year was a hard year for me personally and now I've also been feeling terrible physically- sluggish, stomach aches, etc. So I weighed myself and realized I'm overweight with a BMI of 26. I'm 5'7 and 165 pounds (75kg). About a year ago, I was 130 pounds (59kg). I gained about 35 pounds in a year. Now I want to lose it all again. But I have no idea how to start. At the same time, I also want to build up muscle in my butt/thighs (I want to tone my thighs and make my butt bigger, if that's a possible thing?). I have no idea how to approach this? Can I target areas like that? Should I change what I eat or how much I exercise? I've been googling but there's so much information out there and I feel so lost.
